Massimo Ranieri (above) played John Gilbert in the Italian musical Hollywood: Ritratto di un Divo (translated Hollywood: Portrait of a Myth). The musical toured Italy for several years. Hollywood won awards for the best original musical production and the best musical score in Italy.
